Food Odyssey 2008 has ended!
Thank you for Joining Us

We provide one share size for weekly pick up at three delivery sites.

We do not offer half shares, but encourage members who feel a need for a smaller share to divide a share with another customer.  We have found that people who divide their share by each picking up the full share on alternate weeks have the best experience (no fighting over items, or trying to cut everything in half).

Payment for CSA shares is expected in advance.  This is in keeping with
the notions that members are making a commitment to the future of the
farm, and in recognition that the farmers' annual cycle of costs and
need for income begin long before we have produce to deliver.  However,
in recognition that many of our customers budget on a more monthly
basis, we are this year accepting payment in installments between sign
up and the beginning of the season.  For the sake of having a schedule
we suggest four installments paid in March, April, May and June.

Your shares will come pre-packed in a pillow case (this allows us to
keep the produce damp and cool).  The shares are packed assembly line
style, which does not allow us to customize individual shares.

For members who pick up on 28th Street - Downtown, please note that at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday,  we will take the shares to a member's house on the southwest corner of McLoughlin and "E" Street (a yellow house with a bright red door and a black fence).  There will be a cooler or other box with your share in it. If there are chickens about, don't let them out.

Here is the pricing information for shares this year: The produce season will run 20 weeks this year, from the first Wednesday in June through to
Wednesday the 15th of October. The produce share is $440 this year.

If you are splitting a share then you will need to make arrangements regarding pickup. There are three pickup points:

  • The Farm: 11116 N.E. 156th Street, Brush Prairie (after 4pm on Wednesdays)
  • Fisher's Landing C-Tran Park and Ride (4:30-5:30pm Wednesday)
  • 100 block of W 28th Street, uptown Vancouver (6-7pm Wednesday)

  • We may be exploring a third drop at Legacy's Salmon Creek Hospital. (this has been tabled for this season!)

Flower shares are $75. The flower season is 18 weeks and runs from June to October (start and end dates are still being decided). Have a look at the gallery to see how beautiful the flowers are!

Eggs can be purchased through:

ABOUT THIS WEEK'S SHARE

Jim usually sends an email with share details to all of the CSA members. Once we are able, we will be posting the share details here too - just in case you need them!

Some people have praised and some have complained that we have a tally of the "prices" of certain items. We are not sure what to make of this, but in case you DO want to know the breakdown of a season's worth of produce, here is last year's information by week:
